About AAHP

The Austrian Association of Hospital Pharmacists (AAHP) is a branch of Verband Angestellter Apotheker Oesterreichs (VAAOE), the union of employed pharmacists.

The association’s aims are to:

• represent the professional interests of its members;
• promote scientific research;
• promote co-operation and good relations among its members;
• encourage a new generation of pharmacists;
• engage in public relations work; and
• foster international contacts.

AAHP is a member of the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP).

In the year 2000 a brochure giving basic information on hospital pharmacy in Austria was published in co-operation with the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists. This brochure may be downloaded here. A more extensive version in German is available as well.
